Cocktails and Movies Cocktail #4: Winter Rum Punch Cocktail

by Tim Barley

Brrrr! Winter is here (or there). Make things warm if you’re not right in the kitchen today

Cocktails and Movies cocktail Winter Rum PunchLooking at the Accuweather forecast today, (The Weather Channel has just lost it in a CNN kind of way…), I can see that everywhere but Miami and here are in for a cool day today. What better way to warm things up if you’re not right in the middle of the kitchen slaving over a turkey today than some Winter Rum Punch.

Just make sure to make a extra for that special someone sticking their head and hands into that oven as they check on that 17 lb behemoth cooking to perfection. This one is also perfect for large get togethers and a tonic for those moments after the family football game in the yard, soothing both hurt bodies and hurt feelings:

The Drink:

Winter Rum Punch Cocktail

Ingredients:

2 parts light rum
1 part apple cider
1 part Orange liqueur (Benedictine is also suggested)
1/2 part maple syrup
1/2 part fresh lemon juice

Instructions:

So there you have it, everyone! Mix these up for a large group and sit back and enjoy a movie, and remember to drink in moderation and NEVER drink and drive.
