Groundhog Day for horror films leads the box office as Happy Death Day wins the weekend

Cocktails and Movies Monday Morning Hangover Report Happy Death Day

Two weeks into October and we have a surprise winner this Halloween season, as Happy Death Day opens EXACTLY as I suspected. People love their horror this time of year and it’s getting some surprisingly good reviews. Disappointingly, people are staying away from the brilliant, albeit long, Bladerunner 2049. I bet if Kevin Hart was in it, people would have flocked to see it. Come on, people! Elevate your taste in movies. Also disappointing was Professor Martson and the Wonder Women, which although it opened on 1200+ screens, made a disappointing $700,000. Well, let’s hand out some mimosas and see how needs a stiff double bloody mary.

Let’s take a look at the number and get into this morning as we bring you the Cocktails and Movies Monday Morning Hangover Report.

Before we get into the Report, let’s grab a cocktail and take a look at the box office numbers.
