Cocktails and Movies and Trailers, Oh My! Thursday Trailer Tap
Are you sitting in your cubicle with stacks of TPS reports to go through? Listening to that conference call where everyone is talking at the same time about nothing at all that matters? Stuck at the water cooler hearing how Coco took out the Justice League for the #1 spot! Need something to watch with that flask in your desk and that burned microwave popcorn from the break room? Let us share movie trailers with you. Now that the summer season is a distant image in our rear-view mirror, we have gotten a lot more movie trailers to view for this week’s The Thursday Trailer Tap

This week we may have just a few movie trailer, but they are some good ones. This week we have TWO trailers we are seeing for the first time and TWO new trailers for movies we have previewed in the past. This week we have trailers about the true story of the kidnapping of the Getty heir, the return to Jurassic World, a young lady is allergic to the sun and finds love, and two young girls devise a plan to solve each of their problems !

While El Jefe mixes himself another afternoon cocktail, let’s step up to the bar before he comes back. So open your special drawer, fetch that secret stash of booze you’ve got hidden away and come see what will be in store for us moviegoers in the coming months!

I have FOUR new trailers for you to sample from our Thursday Trailer Tap!

All The Money In The World

Studio: Tri-Star
Release Date: December 25, 2017
The story of the kidnapping of 16-year-old John Paul Getty III and the desperate attempt by his devoted mother to convince his billionaire grandfather Jean Paul Getty to pay the ransom.

Anticipation Factor: MEDIUM-HIGH. I was unsure of how I would feel about the movie given the recasting and reshoots in such a short time. But, based on this trailer the movie looks even better than before. There was a lot of new footage and love the new suspense thriller theme it has. The trailer is heavy with Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams, but love all the new scenes with Christopher Plummer. It’s almost like it’s an entire new movie. I can not wait for this to hit theatres on Christmas Day.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Studio: Universal
Release Date: June 22, 2018
Plot unknown.

Anticipation Factor: MEDIUM-HIGH. This is a good first look at the sequel to Jurassic World and the 5th movie in the series. Not only do Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard return, but we have Jeff Goldblum returning as Dr. Ian Malcolm. The trailer shows us a lot of dinosaurs as well as a lot of action sequences. Hopefully the volcano is not the bad guy, and we get to see who or what that might be in the next trailer.

Midnight Sun

Studio: Open Road Films
Release Date: March 23, 2018
Midnight Sun centers on Katie, a 17-year-old sheltered since childhood and confined to her house during the day by a rare disease that makes even the smallest amount of sunlight deadly. Fate intervenes when she meets Charlie and they embark on a summer romance.

Anticipation Factor: MEDIUM. This movie is reminiscent of the movie Everything, Everything that came out at the beginning of summer. However, this movie looks like it might be slightly better. I love the pairing of Bella Thorne and Patrick Schwarzenegger, they have good chemistry with one another. Let’s just hope that her condition is real and it’s does not that horrible ending Everything, Everything had.

Studio: Focus Features
Release Date: March 9, 2018
Two upper-class teenage girls in suburban Connecticut rekindle their unlikely friendship after years of growing apart. Together, they hatch a plan to solve both of their problems-no matter what the cost.

Anticipation Factor: MEDIUM. I liked the first teaser trailer and was waiting for a full trailer. I will say that I was not disappointed at all. I like that we get to see what one of the problems is. The chemistry between Anya-Taylor Joy and Olivia Cooke is pretty good. I enjoyed the performance from Anton Yelchin, this will definitely erase that Porto performance I just saw of his. I look forward to see the other problem in the next trailer.
