Spider-Man! Spider-Man! Does Whatever A Blockbuster Can!

Spider Man Homecoming

Call the Daily Bugle folks, we’ve got a Spider-Man picture on our hands! It’s time for Spider-Man: Homecoming to make its way to theaters! But, of course, that doesn’t mean there’s no other films showing at the market, so that leaves us with the usual duty of evaluating the box office market as we usually do. Refill your drinks, and prepare your spreadsheets, as we dive into what’s on tap for this first weekend in July. What do you say we get right to it on this last day of this short weekend?

Duwayne’s Pick: Spider-Man: Homecoming! I am a big comic book fan and I eagerly await every new comic book movie that comes out, whether it be Marvel or DC. And from I have seen so far, this looks like it will be the best Spider-Man movie ever. I love how this is more true to it’s comic book roots than previous movies, especially with the casting of a teenage looking Tom Holland. I can not wait!

Mike’s Pick: I’ve already seen Spider-Man: Homecoming twice. If I had a theater offering films I’ve wanted to catch up on, like Beatriz At Dinner or King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, I might see those. But, I think I’ll be seeing Spider-Man again. It’s seriously THAT good.

Tim’s Pick: It has to be Spider-Man: Homecoming. I’m really looking forward to some really good movies again, and the next 4-8 weeks look like summer again…
