Cocktails and Movies hugh jackman prisoners Weekend Wrap SessionThis past weekend, people were held as Prisoners at the box office by their Insidious Family members as the box office slipped back  into “September usual,” with maybe just a minor boost, and two returning victors. Prisoners looks like a solid Oscar lock for some dark and moving performances that Oscar loves from dramatic performances. Percy Jackson took the number 4 spot, making a top 4 slot for each new movie and dropping 2 Guns down to number 5.

Quiet Weekend at the box office…

Cocktails and Movies 2 gunsApparently, it was weekend to be outside and not enjoying a theater at the nearest cineplex. Granted, the studios didn’t give us much to work with this past weekend. This might be the time of the year when the tent pole releases are all spent and studios shovel out the stalls with less-than-great movies before the Fall Oscar bait season.
