Monday Morning Hangover Report 50 Shades Freed

Well, America, this is what you get. Sure, it’s been a while since we’ve put this together for you. But, this is what you get when you don’t demand more and better from those that run the studios. Not that there is much to see out there. But, why did you all have to go see the last installment of such a bad series of books? And a trilogy of movies that were just awful? There were three new movies in big release last weekend and they all came in #1-3. We’ll get to all that in a minute or two.

Let’s take a look at the number and get into this morning as we bring you the CocktailsandMovies.com Monday Morning Hangover Report.

Before we get into the Report, let’s grab a cocktail and take a look at the box office numbers.

Let’s hand out a few drinks for weekend achievements (mimosas) and lack thereof (bloody mary’s):

MIMOSAS:
Jumanji. Coming in at #4 this week, it’s $9+ million haul puts it over $365 million in 8 weeks of release and a solid win for Sony, who really needed one at the end of 2017.

BLOODY MARYS:
50 Shades Freed – just why. Not sure whether to give the bloody mary’s to us, or the men of the women who went to see this movie.

MIMOSAS:
50 Shades Freed. Congratulations for capitalizing on idiots

BLOODY MARYS:
The movie industry. All signs point to a poor winter. Black Panther might change that and a nice stock of spring movies as well.

Well, we are in the thick of it this Winter with nothing to show yet. No new events coming your way until the end of the month (you can check them out on our Facebook events page).

Until then, we’d love to hear what you might like to hear from us on that, so emails us at info@cocktailsandmovies.com with your requests and thoughts.
